Stacey

With two decades in the industry and The Hair Room’s founder since 2016, Stacey created this salon as a haven for creativity, connection, and genuinely great hair. Her vision? A space where stylists could thrive—without the egos, burnout, or drama that often plague the industry - the goal; happy hairdressers, happy clients.

Known for her dry humour, high standards, and big heart, Stacey is as fast-paced as she is thoughtful. She’s all about attention to detail (okay, borderline a little OCD), honest communication, and making sure every client walks out feeling their best. Her team describes her as funny, fair, fiercely loyal—and endearingly, occasionally a bit like a bull in a china shop; she gets it done.

Vanessa

With 38 years of experience under her belt, Vanessa is an industry icon—and our beloved “Salon Mum.” Former salon owner and mentor to many, she’s a master of colour, particularly grey coverage, is affectionately known as the Perming Queen & specialises in short hair styles. Efficiency is her superpower—she works fast, with precision, and makes everything look effortless.

Vanessa is also our resident trainer, always guiding the next generation of stylists with calm confidence. Outside of the salon, she’s a self-confessed homebody with an immaculate house full of plants, a thriving garden, and a knack for fashion and cooking. She’s quirky, loyal, and deeply caring—always looking out for the team with quiet strength and endless wisdom.

  • Katie

    COLOUR & STYLING SPECIALIST

    With over 7 years experience and a flair for blondes, balayage, and bold colour transformations, Katie brings fresh energy and skill to every appointment. She’s also our go-to for fashion colours and event styling, running a side hustle specialising in weddings and formals.

    Katie is creative, passionate, and seriously talented— don’t be put off by her dress sense (which often sets off Stacey’s OCD tendencies), her work speaks for itself, although she has a particular knack for capturing the stunning client transformations for the team that you’ll often see on our socials. She’s has a big heart, her warmth and kindness is adored by us all.

    Fun fact: she recently ticked off a 7-week European adventure and is about to begin her biggest adventure yet - motherhood.

  • Sam

    EMERGING STYLIST

    Sam completes her qualifications in the coming months and is already making waves beyond her industry years with her talent and unmatched client care. At 31, she brings well-travelled life experience and an infectious sense of humour to the salon floor. A mum of one and former lawn bowls prodigy (yep, she played for Australia), Sam’s journey into hairdressing started when she moved from Brisbane in 2022—turning up for her interview the day she arrived, this dedication is now showcased in the beautiful results her clients now enjoy. 

    She’s incredibly caring & generous, but has the memory of a goldfish when it comes to menial tasks. In saying that, she is always the first to surprise the team with thoughtful gifts, once she finally remembers to bring them to work! Her down-to-earth nature and wit make her a favourite among clients and teammates alike.
