Layby Terms & Conditions

• A minimum deposit of 25% is required at the time the layby is placed.
• Minimum payments of 25% of balance are to be made on a fortnightly basis.
• Maximum time for a Layby is 8 weeks.
• The Layby remains the property of The Hair Room until final payment of Layby has been made.
• A $30 Cancellation fee applies to cancelled laybys.
• Laybys not collected within 8 weeks will be returned to stock with a non refund of monies paid.

Manufacturer’s Guarantee

Your ghd styler has been manufactured to the highest quality and will provide you with effective, reliable service when used in accordance with the instructions. All ghd stylers are individually tested before leaving their factory, however, in the unlikely event of the ghd styler proving defective due to faulty workmanship or materials within 2 years from the date of purchase, then, at it’s sole discretion and subject to their terms, ghd will undertake to repair or replace the styler. Please keep your purchase receipt in a safe place for warranty purposes. It is also advisable to photocopy your receipt as our receipt printer is thermal & tends to fade over time.

Tips for your ghd styler

Using your ghd straighteners to turn curly hair straight

Apply a walnut size amount of Straightening Cream to the entire midlengths & ends and comb through or spray each section with a Thermal Protectant Spray  (Available at The Hair Room). Once done, place the ghd styling iron as close to the root as possible and glide down the section without stopping. Repeat this process with each section of hair gliding once from root to tip and you will have beautiful straight hair every time.

Using your ghd straighteners to turn straight hair wavy

Start at the side of the head by taking a fine section of hair (4 cm approximately) and spray a light mist of a Thermal Protectant Spray (Available at The Hair Room) onto each section. Place the ghd waver at the root of the section and loop the hair around it moving from root to end in a figure of eight motion. Use both hands until all the hair is securely wrapped around the waver. Hold the waver in-between your index finger and thumb and, starting at the root, carefully place the cloud nine styling iron along the waver holding for 3 to 5 seconds each time before gently unwinding. Repeat this process with each new section of hair but on the top sections place the waver about 4 centimetres from the root to avoid creating too much volume.

Using your ghd straighteners to turn straight hair curly

Starting at the crown, take a small section of hair and spray it with a light mist of a Thermal Protectant Spray (Available at The Hair Room) Now wind this section around your finger to the ends of the hair. Use the thumb and index finger of your other hand to hold the section in place. As you ease out your finger feed the section of hair into the irons and hold for 5 to 10 seconds to create glossy, spiral curls. Repeat this process with other small sections of hair. For a longer lasting curl secure each section with a hairpin. Once each section is secured take out the pins and release the curl.
